Northampton General Hospital (NGH) issued a tender via the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) for cabling and peripheral services to run for 3 years with the option of a 2 year extension.
The work will involve all Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a and fibre optic installations ranging from adds, moves, changes, new builds and project work along with the supply of associated data racks and peripherals.
A number of contractors, both local and national responded to the tender and NGH shortlisted 6 potential partners. Through a series of quality control assurance work along with developing a sustainable cost model for both parties, the OJEU announced on the 11th July 2017 that the successful bidder was Adaptive IT Solutions.
The contract value is estimated at £1m, allowing Adaptive IT Solutions to continue to invest in supporting the NHS locally and nationally as well as keeping people employed in the town.
