The Brief

Horiba provide an array of instruments and systems for applications ranging from Automotive R&D, Process and Environmental monitoring and In-vitro Medical diagnostics from their multiple sites within the UK.

Currently undertaking refurbishment works within the reception area of the Head Office in Northampton, they required a modern system for signing in visitors to replace their ageing registration method.

Adaptive IT's Solution

After initial consultations with the IT Project Lead and a personlised 1-1 demonstration of the system, we proposed the InVentry Visitor Management solution. InVentry is the current market leader in Visitor Management and is perfect for corporate environments, specifically due to the speed and accuracy of the system.

To ensure the system was befitting the modern, technical reception area, Adaptive IT, along with Horiba and InVentry designed a bespoke height-adjustable kiosk solution housing the system, printer and infra-red scanner, making this system the only one of it’s kind in the country.

Visitors, staff and approved contractors can sign in and out using the interface, and their journeys can now be logged to create a 100% accurate staff Fire Register using mobile applications in the case of an emergency.

InVentry can also send an email or text message direct to the staff member upon the arrival of their guests, or to further speed up the sign-in process, attendees can be pre-booked before their visit.

 

Ongoing Support

The system is covered by a 3yr NBD Hardware warranty and a dedicated helpdesk support contract. Contact can be made via telephone or email and any questions or queries are fielded in real time by knowledgeable staff. Any changes and system modifications can also be made via secure remote connection to the screen by the same resource.

Working with InVentry to develop a bespoke visitor management solution to meet the requirements of the client proves how adaptable the system can be. It was great to give guidance to a local company to transform their staff safeguarding with the use of mobile technology, whilst providing them with the very first solution of it’s kind in the UK.
