Girl Guiding UK engaged with Blenheim House Construction to completely renovate 17 – 19 Buckingham Palace Road, a 7 story town house overlooking Buckingham Palace to transform it into a vibrant Head Office, Guide Shop and facilities for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. As part of this project they also built a 72 room boutique hotel which they have leased to the Nadler Group to operate for the next 25 years.
Adaptive IT's Solution
Adaptive IT were contracted by Briggs & Forrester Special Projects to install a complete Cat6 Structured cabling system in to both the office and the hotel. The office has multiple cabinet locations so a star wired topology was designed to link all cabinets with OM3 fibre presented as LC connectivity.
Due to the fabric of the building within the hotel, it was not possible to install a standard data cabinet configuration. We worked with the client as well as Prism data cabinets to design a bespoke solution that would fit in to the awkward space.
Adaptive IT were contracted direct by Girl Guiding UK to design and implement a complete AV solution including a digital signage system for the shop and large format display screens and TVs for the meeting rooms and breakout areas. In order to get HDMI connectivity Adaptive IT had to design a solution over Cat6 because cable routes were prohibitive to use standard HDMI cabling.
The project was completed and handed over on time and to budget.
