Brooklands Farm Primary School

The Brief

Brooklands Farm Primary School in Milton Keynes is a new and expanding school and was the first building on the block of the Brooklands community development. On completion it will be the largest Primary School in the UK. There was a requirement to provide a new telephony system to service the existing main Campus and the very recently completed new build situated approximately half a mile away.

Adaptive IT's Solution

We supplied an Avaya IP based solution to work across the Fen Street Campus and Countess Way site which would allow call transfer to all extensions regardless of the physical location of the phone, with 26 handsets installed at the original building and 18 at the new site.

The feature-rich system was configured onsite to suit from the recording of the auto attendant that initially greets callers to creating hunt groups to transmit call traffic efficiently. All staff were given full training to use the system and to manage it going forward which was also backed up by a full 3 year maintenance and support contract.

We were one of the only companies in the country able to help the school to overcome considerable connection difficulties due to its initially remote location, but we were up to the task and delivered the solution to time and budget. IP Telephony is an incredibly popular platform for School systems and works well especially across multi-location sites such as this.
